An Alaskan Love Story

Stanley married his high school sweetheart, Shayne, and moved to Alaska in 2006, where Shayne was born and raised.

Together they have two beautiful children, Sentha, 16, and Stanley Junior, 14. After their children were born, Stanley felt a responsibility to serve his country so he joined the US Navy.

Proud Veteran

During his time in the Navy, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. It was during his last deployment that he discovered his love for photography while he documented his travels.

While in the military, his passion for serving others grew. He focused that passion towards mentoring and developing sailors until he retired.

A Commitment to Service

Stanley went on to serve the veteran community as Legislative Liaison and Special Assistant to the Commissioner of the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs. He was nominated by his peers and awarded the Alaska Commendation medal. Most recently he served as the Community Outreach Manager for the Governor’s office, focusing on building relationships within the community.

He was the bridge to the governor’s office and the public. He worked tirelessly to ensure the people of Alaska received the benefits and resources the state provides.

Serving the Vulnerable

Stanley is currently serving Alaskans as the Municipality of Anchorage's Housing and Urban Development grant program manager. During his tenure, Stanley has brought the program back into compliance after years of pandemic-related spending reductions, ensuring the citizens of East Anchorage continue to benefit from critical affordable housing projects.
